Title: Fibonacci Crocheted Bag

Artist’Äôs Description: The stripes in this bag are based on the Fibonacci numbers. This idea was suggested in the article "The Art of Knitting: Fibonacci and Stripes", by Laura Bryant. (Cast On, Fall 2003) The dark blue stripes are composed of 2, 3, 5, and 8 double rows, starting from the top of the bag. The light blue stripes are composed of 2, 3, and 5 double rows, starting from near the bottom of the bag. Bryant describes this technique as giving a particularly smooth transition between colors. I think that it has a sort of organic feel to it. The pattern of the bag is the "Shopper", from Learn to Crochet, by Sue Whiting.
