Discrete Mathematics Day
Saturday, April 5, 2008
A lovely Discrete Mathematics Days of the Northeast Conference took place on Saturday, April 5th at Smith College. Here are photos from the event. Download a poster for the conference here (500K .pdf).
The meeting began at 9:30 am (the first talk was at 10:00 am) and continue through to 5:30pm. There were 5 talks during the day. Talks were held in McConnell 103; registration and breakfast was in McConnell Lobby. A complimentary buffet lunch was available in McConnell Lobby. The full schedule and abstracts are here.
As with the other Discrete Math Day conferences, there is no registration fee, and preregistering is strongly encouraged. To preregister, fill out this online form, which includes information on applying for financial support.
Parking is free on weekends in all Smith parking lots, in white lined spaces that do not have meters or are otherwise not marked. There are limited spots off of College Lane and at the end of Green Street in front of Sage Hall. The closest large parking lot to McConnell Hall is on Green Street, across from the Ford Hall construction site (see the maps).
During the weekend of the conference, the Collegiate Fencing Nationals were hosted at Smith, so area hotels were filled with fencers---make your reservations early.
